The paid tools assume you are in one country, on one tax system, with money to spend before you have even been paid for the job in front of you.

Remit started from a simple frustration with that. The documents a business needs to get paid, invoices, quotes, receipts, purchase orders, delivery notes and statements, are not advanced software. They are a solved problem. There was no good reason for them to sit behind a paywall, a watermark, or an assumption about where you live and which currency you use.

So we built the tool we wanted: genuinely free, unlimited, and international from day one. You set up your company once, and every document brands itself. You pick any of over 150 currencies and set your own tax. You download a clean PDF your customer can pay from straight away. No caps, no watermark, no catch on the tool itself.

We are just getting started. The plan is to keep adding the practical things businesses actually need: more free tools, agreement templates you can tie to an invoice or receipt, and guidance worth reading, while keeping the core free for everyone who relies on it.

A tidy, branded document gets taken seriously and paid faster. We obsess over templates that make a one-person operation look established, because looking professional is not a luxury, it is leverage.

Honest about how we stay free

We would rather tell you than hide it. In future, Remit may carry tasteful advertising and the occasional affiliate link to tools we would recommend anyway. The core will stay free, and we will never sell your data to do it.

Brendan Bosekeng is the founder of Remit, the free invoicing and business-document tool. He works in purchase order financing, where his days are spent helping businesses turn the orders they have already won into cash they can actually use. Behind that sits more than fifteen years across the money side of business: retail banking, direct sales and sales management, branch and team management, and AML compliance. He also ran his own digital marketing practice for four years, and he is a software engineering graduate, which is how Remit came to be. That mix means he has watched money move from nearly every seat: the salesperson closing the deal, the manager keeping a branch and its numbers in order, the business chasing a payment, and the bank deciding whether it clears. He writes about invoicing, quotations, cash flow and getting paid on time, with one simple aim: help small businesses look the part and get paid faster.
