Última atualização: 28 de agosto de 2026
Por motivos de validade jurídica, o texto legal abaixo é fornecido em inglês.
These Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of Remit (the "Service"), operated by Remit ("we", "us" or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Definitions
- "Service" means the Remit website, applications and document tools.
- "You" or "User" means the person or organisation using the Service.
- "Content" means the information you enter, including company details, logos, client records and the documents you create.
- "Documents" means invoices, quotations, receipts, purchase orders, delivery notes, statements, agreements, templates and any other output produced with the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority where you live, and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. By using the Service you confirm that you meet these requirements and that any information you provide is accurate.
3. Your account
You need an account to use Remit. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.
4. The Service
Remit lets you create business documents and download them as PDF files. The core Service is provided free of charge. We may add, change, suspend or remove features at any time, and we may introduce optional paid features in future. We will not remove the ability to create the core document types from the free Service without notice.
5. Your Content and ownership
Your Content remains yours. You are responsible for its accuracy and for ensuring you have the right to use it, including any logos, trademarks and client information you upload. You are solely responsible for the amounts, tax rates, terms and banking details shown on your Documents.
You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process and display your Content only as needed to operate and provide the Service to you, for example to save your records and generate your PDFs. We do not claim ownership of your Content and we do not sell it.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Break any law, or create documents that are fraudulent, misleading or intended to deceive.
- Impersonate another person or business, or misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
- Infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy or other rights.
- Upload malware, or attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse engineer or gain unauthorised access to the Service or other users' data.
- Resell, scrape or systematically extract the Service or its content without our permission.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules or that create legal risk for us or other users.
7. Our intellectual property
The Service itself, including its software, design, templates, branding and text (but not your Content), belongs to Remit or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service and to use the Documents you generate for your own business purposes. You may not copy, resell or redistribute the Service or its templates as your own product.
8. Documents and templates are not professional advice
Remit is a document tool, not an accountant, lawyer or financial adviser. Our templates and any agreement or contract documents are provided as general starting points and may not suit your situation or comply with the laws of your country, state or industry. They do not constitute legal, tax or financial advice. You are responsible for checking that any Document you produce is accurate, complete and appropriate, and you should seek qualified professional advice where it matters.
9. Advertising
The Service may display advertising, including advertising served by third-party networks such as Google. Advertisers and ad networks may use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, as described in our Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements or for the products or services they promote, and your dealings with any advertiser are solely between you and that advertiser.
10. Affiliate links and third-party services
The Service may contain links to third-party websites, tools and services, some of which may be affiliate links. If you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We only intend to recommend tools we consider genuinely useful, but we do not control third-party sites and are not responsible for their content, terms or practices. Accessing a third-party service is at your own risk and subject to that provider's own terms.
11. Availability
We work to keep Remit available and reliable, but we cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error free. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Remit and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any loss of profit, revenue, data, goodwill or business, arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Remit harmless from any claims, losses, liabilities and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your Content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.
14. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. On termination, the rights granted to you end, though sections that by their nature should survive (such as ownership, liability and indemnity) will continue to apply.
15. Communications and email marketing
By creating an account, you agree that we may send you essential service messages about your account, security and important changes, which are part of using the Service. We may also send you marketing emails about Remit, our features and related updates. These marketing emails come only from Remit. We do not share or sell your email address to third parties for their own marketing. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in the email or by contacting us, and where the law requires your consent for marketing, we will obtain it.
16. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect and how we use it, and forms part of these Terms.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service grows or as the law requires. We will change the "last updated" date above and, for significant changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
18. Governing law and international use
Remit is offered to businesses and individuals internationally. These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where the operator of Remit is established. You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to you in your own country, including any local requirements for the documents you create. Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer rights you may have under mandatory laws in your place of residence. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will stay in full effect.
